Gulf Shores Unit 201

Beautiful condo,, stayed in it before,, love it ,, noticed my beach view a little obstructed this time by tall ugly wild sunflower on the dunes overlooking beach,,, management plez trim back ,, at least alittle for bottom floor views... also upscale toilet paper,,, alittle... thank you very much for a wonderful stay... staff was also helpful, knowledgeable and curtious...

Beautiful condo!

Wonderful space that provided our family a place to make lasting memories! Beds were VERY comfortable for all including some with bad backs. A dish drying rack would be great to include as well as access to the washer & dryer. Neither are necessary, but would be helpful for future stays. T

My entire family enjoyed our stay. We rented two condos next door to each other and all had a great time.

I love everything about the Gulf Shore Resort. Friendly staff, maintenance, and other guests make every stay perfect. I like the new BBQ shack with all kinds of grills, gas, charcoal, and even gas griddle. This was my 5th stay here and each time was great!

If furniture, cookware, and dishes were upgraded I would have no problem giving a 4. Location and personnel make this place!

Closest condos to the beach with a full panoramic view of the gulf/beach! We loved sitting out on the balcony to take it all in!The unit in particular appeared a little banged up. There were repaired patches in both bathrooms that were visible b/c no one finished the repair with paint. In fact, a fresh coat of paint would go a long way throughout the unit.The unit was however still very clean. Housekeeping did however NOT mop the floors before we arrived. We took our shoes off at the door (Mom's house rule always) but our feet were dirty and black within minutes. Very disappointing! We had our own swiffermop packed with us luckily to take care of it. Due to the holiday we were easily distracted and forgot to mention this to the front desk, but we should have. It's always a little unnerving wondering what else didn't get cleaned when they obviously forgot to clean the floors.To get that fifth star for our review please step up the housekeeping game…no one wants to start off their “vacation” scrubbing, cleaning and disinfecting.

Those places sure could use some kitchen amenities.

Took my daughter and granddaughter (7) she was craving some beach time! Although the weather wasn’t the greatest we made the best of it and she had fun. Wasn’t pleased the balcony was under construction  The staff were all very pleasant and helpful. Only other complaint would be the loud noise at 4AM above us sounded like a few loud men talking and working heard banging above, not sure if it was construction workers starting that early or what! Either way was disruptive to sleep. And the traffic on the beach was a disappointment and a bit scary with a little one trying to play on the beach but maybe it was just heavy and too fast due to crazy spring breakers idk… Only other constructive criticism would be, would have been better if the pool and jacuzzi were cleaner! I would still go back after construction is completed, due to nice room, friendly staff and of course most importantly the view.

We had a good time at your condo, thanks for making it a pleasant stay. The access to the beach was so convenient. I guess the only opportunity is game room access - my kids wanted to play there in the evening and we found it locked. But that is a small nit in an otherwise nice place, we will likely come back.

Unit 201 has finishes that are more upscale than many rentals. We chose this one because it has a sofa and love seat - very comfy - and a TV which doesn't block the view. The view is amazing - very close to the water. The bedding was very nice with plenty of extra covers for the coolish weather in late March.The on-site staff assisted us with finding towing and auto repair for a computer related issue - our vehicle was picked up and delivered back to us within four hours. The beach was clean and practically empty of people the last week in March. This was our third rental at Gulf Shores and we will be back in the early fall. Favorite restaurants are Trout's, Tortuga's, the Donut Place, and Dylan's Coal Oven Pizza. For a more bar like experience try Virginia's.

The room and front desk service were very nice. I always enjoy Gulf Shores. The only negative thing that should be noted is that I found a basked of damp bath towels in one of the closets when I checked into my room; the housekeeping staff should be more thorough.

We own 2 beach houses and a condo in Port Aransas. Our place has been booked all summer so we decided to rent this place. A little further out from town but figured we would give it a try. It's the best thing we did. Every room in this building has the perfect view. The beach was not crowded and the balcony was perfect to sit and relax. This unit offered everything my home would offer. High end cookware and beds felt great. We will absolutely come and stay here again. Maybe even consider buying here. Thank you for such a great experience

This was a really nice place to stay. Convenient location and proximity to beach were great. Room was clean and comfortable. Plenty of kitchenware and modern appliances. Great ocean views and friendly, courteous staff. Nitpicks - There was a hairball under the covers in one bed and dried blood on one of the pillow cases in another. Towel racks in bathrooms were feeble and easily detached from wall with just a damp T-shirt hanging from them. Not the resort's fault, but I wasn't expecting to have to look both ways and dodge fast-moving cars to get to the water. Outside of those minor annoyances, was very satisfied with the stay. Definitely will stay here again.

We were able to reserve Unit 201 at the last minute for Memorial Day. The unit was very clean and comfortable. We loved the proximity to the beach and the view was outstanding! We hope to stay here again.

Condo is well decorated, loved the table and chairs. Colors are cheerful.

Curtains had been added (recently, given what was said in earlier reviews) and they were appreciated. The Gulf Shores staff was friendly and helpful. The unit was very clean and ready for us when we arrived. We also enjoyed the rear balcony, which is a fine place to enjoy a sunset. We look forward to returning next year.

We've been coming to Port Aransas for 9 years and have stayed at many amazing spots. Gulf Shores exceeded our expectations, especially in regards to cleanliness for Covid safety. The next best thing is walking into the condo and seeing the ocean waves crashing onto the beach from the balcony doors. The condo is very comfortable, has a great kitchen for cooking, and plenty of space to sprawl at the end of a lovely beach day. We will definitely be coming back!

The condo is absolutely beautiful. There were minor things that could be changed and then it would be perfect. The biggest complain I have is that there are no curtains or blinds. At night if there is anyone on the beach they can see directly into the condo. I would say at least give your renters the option and install some. The condo is roomy & has everything you could need to cook a full meal or stay for a full month. Just bring your family & your sunscreen & you're good to go. The boardwalk takes you directly to the beach. And we were in condo 201 so we had a view of the beautiful pool & hot tub as well as the beach. And as an added bonus for some reason the condos on the end have a door that you can close and lock leading to your front door. So we could lock it & not worry if our little ones wanted to open the front door to look out at the pool. Definitely recommend booking a corner condo for that reason alone

The unit we were in needed a curtain over the large sliding door window. The bedroom window needed a curtain to keep the patio light out. The little bars of soap crumpled.

It was so nice & clean and the view was amazing we loved it!

Really liked the updated condo; very nice remodel! The only negative was that they need a window covering in the master; it was really bright at night. There were also no shades for the balcony windows which makes the front bedroom really bright in the morning. We will be back.

Very nice place! We had a great time in the unit. however, I would recommend some ice trays. there doesn't appear to be a water line available for the fridge ice/water maker. Also, the blue tooth speaker bar doesn't seem to work, but we still had a great time and look forwarding to revisiting.
